Greetings, readers of Grindaz Magazine!
Allow me to introduce myself and extend my heartfelt thanks for this incredible opportunity to join such a fantastic publication. I’m Jonathan Coleman, a veteran Public Relations expert representing The Media Blast PR, and I’m thrilled to be the newest addition to the Grindaz Magazine family. Before diving into this introduction, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Kay Bey and the entire team for inviting me to share my tales and insights with you all on this platform.
Before finding my way here, I’ve had quite the journey navigating the realm of journalism. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, both amusing and nerve-racking, much like an actual rollercoaster! I’ve witnessed the decline of traditional print publications like newspapers and magazines, and the rise of digital alternatives such as email blasts, blogs, websites, and social media platforms. Fortunately, I’ve been able to lend my talents to each of these mediums.
I’ve written for esteemed publications like the groundbreaking Artist Magazine and the revered South Carolina-based Random Thoughts Magazine in the early 2000s. I’ve also contributed to current digital powerhouses like Southeast Hip Hop Magazine, The Sine Wave, Sound Konnect, and Black Vibes just to name a few. Additionally, I’ve launched my own media outlets, including the immensely popular Blacktopia and The Media Blast website, which started as a southeast-based email blast before evolving into a full-scale boutique PR company and media website.

With my expertise, I’ve crafted narratives that thrust my PR clients into the limelight through groundbreaking press releases, EPKs (Electronic Press Kits), and media kits. Beneath this professional exterior lies a self-proclaimed “Everythingist,” a title I’ve given myself but earned through years of dabbling in diverse industries. These collective experiences have equipped me with an abundance of knowledge, business connections, and skills that I leverage to further my career in Public Relations and to educate, empower, and entertain readers on platforms such as Grindaz Magazine.
Aside from informative articles and press releases, I’ve also delved into fiction. In January of this year, I wrote, published, and released “Masterpiece Publishing Presents #1: A Ghost Named Rae,” a supernatural murder mystery where a young lady returns to Earth as a ghost to torment her killer while unraveling the mysteries surrounding her death.
