The Importance of Focusing on your self and Praticing Self-Care

Today we live in a society and a community where there is no help or support when it comes to self-care. Growing up I had to take on a lot of the work load of my parents because of their divorce. That put me into adult-hood early. Because of that my life was difficult. I had to be mature, responsible, accountable and know when and how to take ownership over people, place, things, and ideas that I didn’t yet have a full function concept comprehension of. Let’s Say that having to be an adult before you knew what an adult was was complicated. However, I continued to fight and became the man that you see today. In present time. I am no focused on bettering my business and personal life. That goal alone is a hyperfocus on the habits, skills, and skill sets necessary too manifest, cultivate, and maintain my honest, transparent, and authentic self. Not all day’s are perfect. I have many good, bad, ugly, and worst days. However, it’s about respecting the discipline and respecting the process to manifest, cultivate, and maintain the discipline. I’m telling you this today because yesterday. It wasn’t an easy day. Yesterday, I was fighting with myself in just about every which way imaginable and I was about to crack. I had take time off from work to bring myself together. My feelings, emotions, thoughts, words, actions, heart, mind, body, soul, spirt, and self is exhausted. However, I can’t and won’t quit on what I have to do for myself. I can slow down and stop and go the right and correct direction. However, I can never quit. I’m letting anyone who wants to know. Trust the process! Respect the Process! Honor yourself and those who honor you! And It’s okay to give yourself permission to break cycles that are no longer serving you!

🌱 LeefitFitness Guide: Respect the Process, Trust Yourself, Break Cycles

Welcome to LeefitFitness — leefitfitness.com, where growth, healing, and self-mastery meet. Use this guide as your roadmap for building discipline, nurturing your inner self, and creating a life of authenticity.

1. Acknowledge Your Reality with Gratitude

  • Embrace your past — the responsibilities, hardships, and early maturation.
  • Gratitude doesn’t erase struggle — it honors your resilience.
  • Positivity: Challenges were training ground for strength.
  • Prayer: “Ya Allah, help me see the wisdom hidden in my trials and guide my steps toward healing.”
  • Affirmation: “I’m grateful for my journey. I grow stronger every day.”

👉 Prompt: Write one past hardship and three lessons it taught you.

2. Give Yourself Permission to Slow Down (Not Quit)

  • Some days will feel like survival mode. Slowing down is not giving up — it’s recalibrating.
  • Positivity: Pauses are resets, not failures.
  • Prayer: “O Allah, grant me patience in rest and clarity for each next step.”
  • Affirmation: “I may pause. I will not quit. I press forward with grace.”

👉 Prompt: On days you feel stuck, write a 2–3 sentence self-encouragement message to yourself.

3. Practice Full-Spectrum Self-Care

  • Nurture all parts of your being: feelings, thoughts, body, spirit, actions, and more.
  • Positivity: Every part of you deserves love and healing.
  • Prayer: “Ya Allah, align my heart, mind, body, soul, and purpose with Your mercy.”
  • Affirmation: “I honor myself fully — body, mind, and spirit.”

👉 Prompt: At the end of each day, rate one area (body, mind, soul) from 1–5. Then write one thing you’ll do to improve tomorrow.

4. Respect the Discipline

  • Discipline is the consistent small steps, not dramatic all-or-nothing moves.
  • Positivity: Every disciplined act is a vote in favor of your future.
  • Prayer: “O Allah, give me strength to remain consistent and steadfast.”
  • Affirmation: “I respect the process. I respect my growth.”

👉 Prompt: Choose one anchor habit (e.g. prayer, journaling, stretching). Log it daily for a week.

5. Break Cycles That No Longer Serve You

  • Let go of toxic habits, mindsets, and relationships.
  • Positivity: You are free to build healthier cycles.
  • Prayer: “Ya Allah, free me from what harms me. Guide me toward what uplifts me.”
  • Affirmation: “I break what drains me. I nurture what strengthens me.”

👉 Prompt: Write two cycles you’ll break and two you’ll build. State the first steps for each.

6. Trust & Honor the Process

  • Growth doesn’t always feel linear. But every step matters.
  • Positivity: Even in stillness, growth is happening.
  • Prayer: “O Allah, help me trust the unseen and remain patient on this path.”
  • Affirmation: “I trust the process. I honor myself. I walk with faith.”

👉 Prompt: At week’s end, review progress. Write one win (no matter how small) and one insight.
